If you are interested in volunteering at the Day centre we would love to hear from you. We are currently looking for volunteer car drivers, minibus escorts and an additional Friday helper at the Day Centre.  This involves meeting and greeting the members when they arrive in the morning.  Making them a cup of tea or coffee, taking their coats and generally making them feel welcome.  During the morning we usually have a short seated exercise class followed by a game of Bingo.  Some members may need help seeing the numbers on their cards.  You will help with the lunch service and clearing away.  A normal afternoon activity would be scrabble, cards or rummikub and you would be working with small groups to help them with these activities.  It is a very rewarding and satisfying role which all of our volunteers really enjoy.  Please contact Gill van Blankenstein at the Day centre on 07923 031 231, or pop in for a chat when we are open on a Monday or a Friday.
